Los Angeles Tops Nation in Chronic Homeless Population

slideshow6According to a report released by the U.S. Housing and Urban Development Department, Los Angeles has the highest number of chronically homeless people.

  • Since 2013, the percentage of chronically homeless has increased 55% to 12,536 individuals
  • More than 1/3 of the nation’s chronically homeless live in California
  • 50% of people living with HIV/AIDS will have some form of housing crisis in their lifetime.
