Corporate Matching Gifts

Many companies offer an employee benefit of matching your contributions to non-profit organizations. This is an easy way to increase – and often double — your donation to Alliance for Housing and Healing. Send us the matching gift paperwork from your office with your portion completed. We’ll take care of the rest.

Workplace Giving

Other companies offer “workplace giving” programs where an amount you select is deducted from payroll and directed to the charity of your choice. Some of these companies will also offer corporate matching. If this program is offered, please contact us so we can make sure that Alliance for Housing and Healing is registered as a giving option for your payroll deduction.

Events

1th Annual Best in Drag Show Benefit for Aid for Aidsover $350,000 was raised for people living with HIV/AidsWe hold a couple fundraising events per year, such as the Best in Drag Show and A Faire of the Heart. Sponsorships, ticket purchases, and donations to these events help raise necessary funds to keep our programs running. Please check the News section of this page to keep up-to-date on all fundraiser activities.

The West Hollywood Cheerleaders are fun and fabulous friends to Alliance for Housing and Healing and hold events surrounding the Best in Drag Show to help raise donations. Look for their big hair and high heels at the Christopher Street West Pride Parade, Eagle LA, and Hamburger Mary’s just to name a few places.

If you are interested in holding an event to benefit Alliance for Housing and Healing please contact Jack Lorenz at jlorenz@alliancehh.org or call 323-344-4880.

West Hollywood Memorial Walk

whWalkWhat started as the West Hollywood Palms has become the West Hollywood Memorial Walk, a tribute to life and a promise to those lost to continue our commitment to improve the quality of life for people living with HIV/AIDS. Developed in cooperation with the City of West Hollywood and Aid for AIDS, these memorial plaques line the sidewalks of Santa Monica Boulevard from Fairfax Avenue to Doheny Drive. Not only do the plaques remind our community every day of our need to assist and find compassion for those who suffer from HIV/AIDS, but they enable a valuable community asset to act on that generosity and compassion in a healing way.

Every West Hollywood Memorial Walk Plaque donation is used to provide funding for the pivotal services that Alliance for Housing and Healing provides to people living with HIV/AIDS. As Los Angeles County’s oldest and largest provider of financial assistance to people living with HIV/AIDS, we help thousands of clients each year pay for rent, utilities, food, and pharmaceutical needs when they are threatened by homelessness and the financial crises a health condition often causes.

Loved ones eligible for a bronze plaque on the West Hollywood Memorial Walk are those who have passed away and were HIV-positive. Click here to read more about the West Hollywood Memorial Walk. You can contact the Alliance for Housing and Healing Development Department by emailing Carole King or calling 323-344-4880.
