Alliance for Housing and Healing received a genrous Health and Human Services grant from the Union Pacific Foundation.
Union Pacific Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the Union Pacific Corporation and Union Pacific Railroad. Union Pacific believes that the quality of life in the communities in which its employees live and work is an integral part of its own success. Originally created as the Union Pacific Railroad Foundation in Omaha. NE, the Foundation has distributed funds since 1959 to qualified organizations in communities served by Union Pacific. The Foundation is not endowed, but is funded each year from the operating profits of Union Pacific Corporation.
Standing apart from funders who focus primarily on support for different programs, the Union Pacific Foundation has a strong interest in promoting organizational effectiveness among nonprofits. To that end, the Foundation dedicates the majority of its grants to help nonprofit organizations build their capacity, increase their impact, and operate more efficiently and effectively. We are immensely grateful to the Union Pacific Foundation for recognizing that general operating support is often what keeps doors open and vital programs in place.
