The Phoenix Effect team ran the Reebok Spartan Super Race in Monterey, California on June 4th, 2017. This 8 mile race features 25 obstacles through tough and rugged terrain to test competitors’ endurance, perseverance, and grit.
In conjunction with the race, the team is raising money for Alliance for Housing and Healing. Alliance’s mission is to provide the basic necessities of life – food and shelter – to more than 1,300 individuals and families annually struggling with poverty and HIV/AIDS throughout Los Angeles County.
Thanks to the Phoenix Effect, $65,000 was raised to support the clients served by Alliance for Housing and Healing – and they’re out to do it all over again! On December 9, 2018 – the team will take on their next Spartan challenge at Castaic Lake, a 4 mile sprint. Alliance covers all entrance fees, and there are plenty of chances for fundraisers to win excellent prizes. All team members receive free training from The Phoenix Effect to prepare for the race and to get in top shape. To learn more or sign-up, contact: firstname.lastname@example.org.
