On December 8th, the team from The Phoenix Effect gym competed in the Spartan Race at Castaic Lake. It was a balmy 55 degrees outside with pouring rain (the entire time!) as the course tested their grit with grueling muddy hills, 25 challenging obstacles and 4.25 miles of unapologetic terrain. Though they were tired, cold, and wet they victoriously conquered the course and put another Spartan Race in the books!
In conjunction with the race, the competitors raised over $36,000 in just ten weeks which will go directly to our clients to provide basic necessities of life – food and shelter.
