“Frank’s fried chicken is the best!” We hear that often from the residents in Soldano House, our group home in Long Beach. For many years, Frank has worked as a wonderful care provider in this house. That means he helps the residents with their daily tasks, medication adherence, and meals. Frank’s secret recipe fried chicken is a perennial favorite. But, with an eye toward healthier eating, Frank has recently substituted baked chicken for fried . Don’t worry, the revised version is still a crowd pleaser and boosts attendance at mealtimes.
Soldano House – where Frank works – is one of four group homes that lovingly provide 24/7 care to those who are too ill to live on their own and care for themselves. The residents often come to us straight from the hospital as they recover from debilitating illnesses that are exacerbated by HIV/AIDS. With on-site care overseen by a registered nurse and a team of certified nursing assistants, at the group homes, residents find a path back to wellness and self-sufficiency.
Through its support of a registered nurse, Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson is making a vital difference in the care of clients in our group homes. Thank you! Janssen is committed to helping people living with HIV by ensuring access to quality, affordable medicines even if resources are limited. Alliance for Housing and Healing is proud to have this leader in the pharmaceutical industry as our partner in care. Our group home residents are counting on us.
